HT300Plus series Inyector para MEPS
The HT300Plus series is a proven liquid autosampler that supports automated MEPS (Micro Extraction by Packed Sorbent) for both HPLC and GC.
Building upon the success of the popular and reliable HT300 series liquid autosamplers, the new HT300Plus series offers you automated MEPS in addition to the standard autosampler features.
Microextraction by Packed Sorbent (MEPS):
MEPS is a new development in the field of sample preparation by SPE (solid phase extraction). It is the result of a collaboration between SGE, Mohamed Abdel-Rehim (AstraZeneca) and Lars G. Blomberg (University of Karlstead).
MEPS performs the same function as SPE — namely the purification of samples — but with some significant differences:
• MEPS works with much smaller samples than full scale SPE (as small as 10µl)
• MEPS can be fully automated — the sample processing, extraction and injection steps are performed on-line using the same syringe
• MEPS is applicable to both GC and LC
• MEPS significantly reduces the time needed to prepare and inject samples
• MEPS significantly reduces the volume of solvents and sample needed
Syringe and Barrel Insert Needle (BIN) Assembly:
The MEPS product consists of two parts, the MEPS Syringe and the MEPS Barrel Insert and Needle Assembly (BIN). The BIN contains the SPE phase, and is built into the syringe needle. The BIN is used with a 100µl or 250µl gas tight MEPS syringe that allows fluid handling at normal SPE pressures. The BIN is easily changed when another phase is required or the current BIN is exhausted.

MEPS Automation with the HT300Plus series
The HT300Plus series offers the perfect platform for automated MEPS. The ability to prepare and inject samples on-line using a single device reduces sample processing time and the need for operator intervention.
The HT300Plus series works with all current MEPS syringes. There is no need to modify the syringe mount.
