Use moisture filters: Moisture in the carrier gas lines can deteriorate the oxygen and hydrocarbon traps prematurely and increase detector noise. As a precautionary measure, it is recommended that a moisture trap be installed upstream of the hydrocarbon and oxygen traps on all carrier gas lines.
Oxygen eliminator: Oxygen is a column predator, it is present even in UHP gases or in micro leaks in the connecting fittings. Since oxygen can enter a gas line at any installation or during gas bottle changeover, the oxygen trap must be placed before the last gas connection of the line entering the chromatograph.
Eliminate Hydrocarbons: A hydrocarbon trap is used if your gas has a potential source of hydrocarbon contaminants, or if you observe that the carrier gas produces ghost peaks. Install a hydrocarbon trap after the moisture trap to prevent moisture from degrading the active carbon trapping capacity of the hydrocarbon trap.
Fuel Gas Filter: The Fuel Gas Filter is perfect for the removal of moisture, and hydrocarbons, from the Flame Ionisation Detector (FID). Using a Hydrogen Fuel Gas Filter and air produces a stable baseline improves overall reproducibility and sensitivity. Ideal for use in combination
